butterflyBVM Named "Tech Innovation of the Year"

From a crowded field of excellent technologies, Compact Medical's lifesaving device, the butterflyBVM, was named the "Tech Innovation of the Year" at the 2024 TechPoint MIRA awards. This accolade not only celebrates the company's remarkable achievements but also solidifies its position as the frontrunner in the quest to save lives by reducing injury during CPR.

This year's competition saw a record number of entry applicants for the award, and Compact Medical was humbled to be selected as one of 11 nominees for final judging. In selecting Compact Medical for the award, MIRA judges noted that "[Compact's] team has innovated in a space no one is touching, and they are touching every population.” The judges were further impressed by the company's heart which extends beyond making a profit as the company partners with Hope Center Indy to use it's upward momentum to help society's most vulnerable.

In receiving the award on behalf of the company, CEO Jon Merrell expressed the following sentiments, "Tonight, our hearts are full and we say 'thank you.' Thank you to the state of Indiana, to Techpoint, to our family at gBETA, to all our mentors, advisors, and investors who have supported us throughout the years. And we are especially grateful for the sacred support we owe to our spouses, children, and family. Thank you all and God bless."

The Company will use the forward traction of this moment to increase awareness of its mission, and to lower barriers to putting the butterflyBVM into the hands of lifesavers everywhere.
